Due to pregnancy leave Stéphanie will pick up new French courses again from March 2021. We are looking forward to welcoming you in class then!
What will I learn?
This course continues from French for beginners I [LINK]. It covers the basics, but in a more elaborate way. Here, you will learn to formulate sentences that are a bit more complex than in the previous course and to understand longer written and spoken texts.
More specifically, you will learn to talk about physical appearance, character traits and feelings, and talk to a doctor and deal with public services. You will also learn to talk about the weather and subjects regarding nature as well as city life. You will expand your vocabulary on food, drinks, clothes and everything in and around the house, as well as your vocabulary on sports, leisure and travel. At the end of the course you will be able to fill in official forms, make a phone call and watch the news headlines on TV.
Each class has a maximum of 6 participants, which ensures you get the most out of it. The teacher provides personal feedback, you get a lot of time to speak and simultaneously you learn from classmates who have other questions and experiences.
Evening classes
We offer this course in the evenings, at 17:15-19:15 or 19:30-21:30. The exact day and time will be decided at the start of each block on the basis of the students’ availability.
On-line or off-line?
Our courses can be offered either on-line or in the classroom/hybrid class. During the application process you can give your preference. After applying we set up an intake meeting. During the intake meeting we discuss your goals and expectation for the course and we assess your level. If you have any questions, we can also answer them in that conversation.
