I have had good experiences with the Delft method, because you have to read and listen to texts as homework every lesson, and memorize them as best as possible, you learn many words and parts of sentences, and especially the rhythm of the language, how it actually sounds like! You learn like a baby, the teachers said, by listening and copying. That works very well. The completion exercise at the end of the lesson is also an excellent way to check whether you know it.
It will be difficult if you do not prepare enough, you will be left out and you will not be able to participate well in class and it will actually be a waste of time. Adequate preparation is therefore very important.

Met de Delftse methode heb ik goede ervaringen; doordat je als huiswerk elke les teksten moet lezen en beluisteren, en ze zo goed als mogelijk uit je hoofd moet leren, leer je veel woorden en delen van zinnetjes, en vooral ook het ritme van de taal; hoe klinkt het nou eigenlijk. Je leert als een baby zeiden de docenten dan, door te luisteren en te kopiëren. Dat werkt erg goed. Ook de invuloefening aan het einde van de les werkt uitstekend als check of je het kent.
Het wordt lastig als je niet genoeg voorbereid, dan val je door de mand en kan je slecht meedoen in de les en is het eigenlijk tijdsverspilling. Een adequate voorbereiding is daarom erg belangrijk.
